STAMFORD EMS is the ONLY CAAS ACCREDITED EMS SYSTEM in ConnecticutIn 2017, for the eleventh consecutive year, Stamford Emergency Medical Service earned accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS). Only 1% of EMS systems in the country is granted CAAS accreditation, which means that SEMS has met the “gold standard” determined by the ambulance industry. Click here to learn more about CAAS.
We offer volunteer opportunities for currently certified EMTs. Our programs gives you the opportunity to ride on an ambulance using your skills and getting hands-on-experience, encouraging progression to full partner, working side-by-side with our paramedics once obtaining the necessary experience.
