A Not-For-Profit Charitable Organization Providing Consistent, Compassionate, Quality Paramedic Ambulance Services |
The EMCAT is an
all-terrain vehicle specially designed, configured, and equipped for use by SEMS
personnel to respond to and transport patients at special events from
difficult-to-access locations to a waiting ambulance.
It also can be summoned to rescue and extricate sick and injured patients from
remote, off-road locations.
Funded with a grant from First County Bank, the EMCAT is deployed at such events as Stamford's Parade Spectacular, one of the largest helium balloon parades in the country, the Landmark Square Heights & Lights event, and other community functions involving large crowds and limited access.
Stocked with a full complement of basic and advanced life support equipment, the EMCAT can safely transport a patient in the care of two SEMS paramedics from areas where access and egress would otherwise be nearly impossible.
