Stamford EMS provides paramedic transport services for the city of Stamford, Connecticut. We also provide contracted paramedic response to the town of Darien.
Station sites were chosen to provide the optimal level of response. Ambulance stations are located at the West Side Fire Station, Stamford Health System’s Tully Health Center, Glenbrook New Hope Fire Department, and on Vine Road. A paramedic response vehicle is located in Darien. The shift supervisor runs out of our headquarters at 684 Long Ridge Road.
Our ambulances are staffed with experienced Connecticut-licensed paramedics and emergency medical technicians who meet our stringent qualifications for employment and clinical care delivery.
All SEMS paramedic units carry state-of-the-art ECG and noninvasive hemodynamic monitoring equipment. They also are equipped with mechanical chest compression devices, CPAP flow generators, and electronic medical record charting capabilities.
First Response System
In addition to the ambulance response, EMS care is further enhanced by the city’s first responder system. Fire apparatus have personnel capable of providing CPR and early defibrillation, oxygen delivery, wound care and life-saving medication administration.
We also offer a broad range of services to meet the needs of its community beyond medical transportation. SEMS is the area leader in event planning and standby coverage, and we provide quality training courses throughout Southwestern Connecticut.
